My name is Elyssa Bisoski and I am a public history professional currently living and working in Michigan. I love learning about the history of this great mitten-shaped state and I particularly enjoy exploring history as it is presented to the public. I often visit local museums, both close to my home in Metro Detroit as well as around the state when visiting friends and family, and I love to stop to read historical markers on the side of the road. This blog records my visits to historical sites around the state as well as provides a space for me discuss little-known facts about the history of Michigan.
